Direct analysis in real time (DART) ion source, one of ambient ionization techniques developed and commercialized during the earlymid 2000s, can be combined with several mass spectrometers (DART-MS), and further applied to investigate different kinds of samples with minimal sample preparation under atmospheric pressure[1-5].Herein, to realize the coupling of DART with a Hexin atmospheric pressure ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometer 5000 (Hexin API-TOF MS 5000), an interface of the DART ion source with the mass spectrometer was designed and made in house.Additionally, a DART auto-sampling module has been modified so that sample positions can be adjusted more flexibly.
