　　Rare earth zirconates have been widely investigated as thermal barrier coating(TBC)materials for their low thermal conductivities and high stability.TBCs with the composition of LaYbZr2O7 were successfully air plasma sprayed and their long term aging behaviors were tested.A bi-phase structure of pyrochlore La2Zr2O7 and flourite Yb2Zr2O7 formed from the initial LaYbZr2O7 flourite phase during annealing at 1300℃.Coherent boundaries was observed between the two phases which indicating the phase separating process to be eutectic.
