Hydroxamic acids (R-C(=O)-NHOH),as proton donators for their special molecular structure,can easily chelate with metallic ions to form a stable complex [1].Hence,hydroxamic acids are widely used as collectors because of their high selectivity on flotation to the oxidized ores,such as rare earth,ilmenite,hematite,and bastnaesite [2,3].The advanced composite collectors including fatty acids and hydroximic acids were prepared and adhibited to the flotation of scheelite from MaGuan,YUNNAN province.There are about 5.1% sulfur and 0.2% wolfram in the run.of-mine.
