Human Papillomavirus (HPV) is small,double-stranded DNA virus predominantly infecting the cutaneous and mucosal epithelium of the genital tract, and more than 100 different subset of HPV have been identified.HPV 6 and HPV 11 is the genotype most commonly found in condyloma acuminatum(CA).Since there are currently no effective treatments for these diseases and recurrence rates of CA are relatively high, ranging from 60% to 70%,a vaccine would be effective treatments. The early gene E7 of HPV are involved with regulation of viral DNA reproduction, plasmid maintenance, and transformation. So E7 protein of HPV has been identified as a promising candidate for a therapeutic vaccine.
