Colorectal cancer (CRC) is the third most prevalent cancer in both men and women worldwide.Progression to CRC, similar to other cancers, is a multistep process, often with a background of genomic instability.Several molecular hallmarks are characteristic of sporadic CRCs that include chromosomal and microsatellite instability, together with epigenetic silencing via CpG methylation.
