Collision events associated with the assembly of the Rodinia supercontinent widely occurred in Northwestern China,but the onset of the continent-continent collision (i.e.Grenville Orogenic Cycle) were obviously later than those in the Grenville Province,Canada and other regions in the world.For example,a suite of granitic gneisses define continent-continent collisional orogenic belt on both the northern and southern margins of the Qaidam Block had been dated at 1.0-0.9 Ga (e.g.Lu et al.,2003;Manttinson et al.,2006;Wan,et al.,2006;Chen,et al.,2007;Xu et al.,2010;Song et al.,2012),probably suggesting a "Rigolet pulse" event (1.00-0.98 Ga) (Rivers,1997).
