2011年12月31日18时,从太原铁路局传来捷报,大秦线实现年运量4.40 16亿吨,胜利实现4.4亿吨年运量目标,较去年增运4000万吨。这是大秦线自2005年达到年运量2亿吨的世界重载运输理论极限后,第6次刷新“单条铁路年运量”纪录,是铁路通过提高运输能力和效率服务经济社会发展和人民群众需求的又一新成就。实现4.4亿吨目标的大秦铁路人,将进一步加强技术管理创新,不断提高重载运输水平。
