Dry mouth has many difficulties in handling. Drying after radiotherapy is more difficult to treat. Because radiotherapy can cause irreversible damage to the parotid gland. Some scholars believe that acinar cells are very sensitive to radiation, and some suggest that the main site of injury in radiotherapy is not acinar cells, but connective tissue in the gland. It has been proven that Antholetrithione (ANTT) is beneficial to dry mouth after drug-induced dry mouth, Sjgren syndrome, and radiotherapy. Pilocarpine has a certain therapeutic effect on radioactive dry mouth.
