著名语言学家David Wilkins指出:“Without vocabulary,nothing can be conveyed.”由此可见,词汇在语言学习过程中的重要性。作为英语专业的学生,词汇水平在一定程度上会影响学生的英语水平,词汇学习的重要性不言而喻。通过问卷调查湖北工业大学英专学生的词汇学习策略的现状,分析比较各年级的善学者和不善学者的词汇学习策略以及学习者在听、说、读、写过程中词汇策略的使用状况,得到一些较为有效的词汇学习策略,并对词汇的教与学提出建议。
Well-known linguist David Wilkins pointed out: “Without vocabulary, nothing can be conveyed.” Thus, the importance of vocabulary in language learning. As an English majors, vocabulary level will affect students’ English proficiency to a certain extent. The importance of vocabulary learning is self-evident. Through questionnaire survey on the current situation of vocabulary learning strategies of college students in Hubei University of Technology, this paper analyzes and compares the vocabulary learning strategies of good scholars and poor learners in different grades and the use of vocabulary strategies in listening, speaking, reading and writing. Some more effective vocabulary learning strategies, and suggestions on teaching and learning vocabulary.
