最早认识迟鹏时,他还是中央美院的大三学生。记得初看他的作品资料,给我印象较深的是他把自身的处境与同性间的关系诡异地予以结合,似乎已经摆脱了中国当代艺术的那种“艺术干预生活”的一厢情愿式的方式,而更倾向于营造自我的话语空间。并将自己的图片作品辑录印刷成册,精制而清晰。他的创作对我来说,在看了太多的,甚至有些腻烦的政治化、社会性的中国当代艺术作品之后,有种眼前一亮的新鲜感觉。这种感觉明显地具有中国年青一代艺术家在新时代自我选择和判断的特征——他利用数码影像合成的新技术所呈现画面上的视觉张
When Chi Peng was first recognized, he was a junior at the Central Academy of Fine Arts. I remember when I first looked at his works and gave me a deep impression that he combined his situation with that of same-sex strangely. It seems that he has got rid of the wishful thinking of “art intervention life” of Chinese contemporary art Way, and more inclined to create a self-discourse space. And his photo albums printed into books, refined and clear. His writing has given me a fresh fresh feeling after looking at too many and even some annoying politicized and social Chinese contemporary works of art.
