司马光哲学是北宋哲学史中不可忽视的重要环节,其哲学意义的显发主要是通过对《大学》、《中庸》的阐释完成其理论体系建构的。作为其诸多哲学著作中最为重要的《〈大学〉〈中庸〉广义》一书,在成书之后不久即佚失,这为深入研究司马光的哲学思想带来了很大的困难。借助于相关典籍对该佚书进行重新整理形成辑本,并结合司马光文集及其他著作对辑本略加参校,这对于司马光中和论、《中庸》诠释史及唐宋“四书升格”运动的研究,甚而司马光在哲学史上重要地位的彰显都具有非常重要的价值。
