Studying the structure of commercial ownership is of great significance to the reform of the commercial system. This article mainly talks about the changes in the structure of retail commerce ownership in our province since the Third Plenary Session of the 11th CPC Central Committee, and discusses the rationality of the retail commerce ownership structure at this stage. (I) During the seven years from 1979 to 1985, the major changes in the structure of retail commerce in Jiangsu Province were “two drops, three liters.” Since 1978, the state has formulated a policy of “opening up and invigorating the country”, supporting the development of the collective economy and restoring individual businesses. “State-owned enterprises, collectives, and individuals have joined together”, and the proportion of retail operations of different ownership systems has taken place.
