The earliest word “Jiang” was found in Jinwen, which belongs to the “mother” “east” part in the ancient common language, and the sound value is [ku]. In the late Northern and Southern Dynasties, the pronunciation of the dialect “[ka]”, which is the basic vocabulary of the southern dialect, entered the common language and eventually replaced the status of “[ku]” tone in the common language due to the elevation of the southern dialect and the expansion of its influence. Later, it was influenced by the pronunciation habits of the northern peoples. By the Ming Dynasty, [ka] was directly palatalized as [ia]. The change of phonetic transcription of “Jiang” reflects the important influence of dialects and foreign languages on phonetic change. The previous [ka] tone of “Jiang” was formed by the natural evolution of its [ku] tone and [] [’] [] was formed by the influence of the “-i-” “-y-” Still need to re-discuss
