长方体是内涵最丰富的简单几何体。它包含了正方体、正方形、长方形、线段、直线的垂直和平行、平面的平移和旋转,涉及到面积的计算、体积的计算、周长的计算、图形的拆分与合并,以及图形的展开与合围。不但是小学数学教学的重点,而且也是空间图形教学的难点。搞好长方体的教学,既可以复习巩固面和线方面的知识,又为教学圆柱和选学球奠定了基础,在教学体系中起着承上启下的作用。应该努力搞好长方体的教学。
