TEM4是全国高校英语本科专业学生所参加的重要考试之一,作为一种全国标准水平测试,对教学的反拨作用值得探讨。2004年专业四级考试大纲的修订,也使其正经历一场重大改革。本文采取问卷调查的方式来研究TEM4的改革对英语学习的反拨效应。结果显示,TEM4影响了学习者学习的态度、内容、方式、速度以及学习的广度和深度等,但其正面反拨效应明显超过负面效应。为了提高TEM4的正面反拨效应,本文还分析了学习者学习中出现的问题,并就此提出一些建议。
TEM4 is one of the most important examinations for college English undergraduate students in the country. As a national level test, the backwash of teaching is worthy of discussion. The revision of the 2004 syllabus for the Professional Level 4 exam also made it undergo a major reform. This paper adopts a questionnaire survey to study the backwash effect of TEM4 reform on English learning. The results show that TEM4 influences learners’ attitudes, content, styles, speed, and the breadth and depth of learning, but their positive back-dial effect clearly outweighs negative effects. In order to improve the positive dial-back effect of TEM4, this paper also analyzes the problems that the learners have in learning, and puts forward some suggestions on this.
