作家钟梅音出生于北平,1948年随夫婿定居台湾,从事散文、小说、儿童文学写作,并主编《妇友月刊》、主持电视节目“艺文夜谈”。其游记文学《海天游踪》自1966年出版,至今至少再版17次。本文集中探讨她旅居泰国(1969年5月-1971年7月)和新加坡(1971年8月-1977年7月)时的创作、翻译和绘画艺术活动,兼及其他有关南洋的书写。研究发现:旅居南洋8年多,是钟梅音创作生涯的扩充与丰收期。在心灵上寻得宗教信仰,延续以往的生活散文写作,认同及称美南洋风土人情,笔者喻之为“吾乡主义”式的书写。她积极学习外语,继而从事翻译工作,译笔流畅典丽。幼年时萌生的绘画兴趣,在追随新加坡画家陈文希(1906-1991)学画之后,得到实践,形塑了个人中西合璧的艺术风格。
Writer Zhong Meiyin was born in Peking. He settled in Taiwan with her husband in 1948 and engaged in essays, novels and writing of children’s literature. She also edited The Wives Monthly and hosted the television program “Night of Arts and Literature”. His travelogue “Haitian Journey” published since 1966, at least 17 times so far. This article focuses on her artistic activities of creation, translation and painting while living in Thailand (May 1969-July 1971) and Singapore (August 1971-July 1977), as well as other writings on Southeast Asia. The study found that staying in Nanyang for more than eight years is the expansion and harvest period of Zhong Mei Yin’s creative career. In the spirit of finding religious beliefs, continuation of the previous life essay writing, agree with the United States and the United States said the customs of the sea, the author Yu as “my country ” style of writing. She actively studies foreign languages, and then engaged in translation work, translating elegant and smooth. The interest in painting as a child started to follow the Singaporean painter Chen Wenxi (1906-1991) and practiced it to shape the artistic style of Chinese and Western personalities.
