作者收治的73例诊断为急性髓细胞型白血病(AML)患者中15例白细胞计数>10万/μl,用特殊的细胞化学染色和血清溶菌酶测定,发现其中11例为急性粒单型(AMML-M_4)和急性单核型(AMOL-M_5)白血病;58例白细胞计数低于10万/μl者,14例为M_4、M_5(P<0.001)。不管细胞类型,患者最初的白细胞计数高者脾肿大(73%)比白细胞低的(19%)要多;同时M_4、M_5患者中4例入院时,脑脊液发现白血病细胞,但在48例AML患者中无有。不管白细胞计数,所有M_4、M_5患者中血清溶菌酶明显增高平均59.7μg/ml,而其他细胞类型平均只有18.9μg/ml(P<0.0001)。M_4、M_5患者平均年龄53.6岁,其他类型56.3岁,范围15~79岁。两组血红蛋白3~14g/dl,平均9.4g/dl。AML平均最初体温99.8°F,M_4、M_5为100.4°F,范围98~104°F。患者白细胞计数
