该工作室位于加拿大纽芬兰福戈岛,于2010年竣工,是福戈岛艺术公司在此地开发的6个工作室项目中最早得以实施的,也是最大的一个。桑德斯的建筑以简约有力的几何造型取胜,这一工作室也不例外,其狭长的菱形躯千兀立在粗犷硕大的岩石上,直面海天辽阔。看似茕茕孑立的外形实则根植于当地传统建筑和渔舍,对彰显该地区的建筑文化起着关键作用。工作室的建造以本地盛产的云杉木为主,外表粗黑,内里细白,对比鲜明,相得益彰。整栋建筑由密实紧凑的混凝土地基锚固在岩石上,岿然不动。
Located in Fog Island, Newfoundland, Canada, the studio was completed in 2010 and was the earliest and foremost of the six studio projects developed by the Fogado Arts Company here. Saunders’s building to simple and powerful geometric shape to win, this studio is no exception, its long, narrow rhombus stood in the vast rocks, facing the vast sea. The seemingly lonely appearance is actually rooted in traditional local buildings and fishing houses, which plays a key role in highlighting the architectural culture in the area. The construction of the studio is dominated by locally-rich spruce wood, with a dark appearance and a crisp, contrasting contrast. The entire building is anchored to the rock by a compact, compact concrete foundation, standing still.
