2 教材内容分析 本模块以生活经历为话题, 要求听懂, 读懂对过去生活经历的描述及简单的人物传记,并通过对自己和他人生活经历的描述掌握一般过去时态的表达方式。
本单元是第二单元,通过描述英国著名剧作家莎士比亚的生活经历, 使我们能够读懂简单的人物传记, 扩大词汇量, 培养学生的阅读技巧, 并通过对自己和他人的生活经历的描述, 掌握一般过去时态的表达方式。
3 教学对象分析
(1)学生们是初次学习传记文体的文章,会觉得较难,教师要培养学生的阅读技巧。
(2)学生对莎士比亚不是很了解,尤其是部分词汇很难读,教师要帮助学生处理好这些词汇,为阅读文章扫清障碍。
4 教学目标分析
4.1 知识技能目标:
(1)词汇: 围绕本单元课文,掌握be born, start school, marry, move to, have children, die, poet, rich, successful, theater,company等词汇及其用法。
(2)语音:准确读出be born, start school, marry, move to, have children,die, poet, rich, successful, theater company等词语; 熟练读出William
Shakespeare, Hamlet, Romeo and Juliet, Queen Elizabeth I, the Globe Theater, the River Thames, languages等词汇。
(3)语法:熟练运用一般过去时态。
(4)技能:通过本篇课文的学习,能读懂简单的人物传记;掌握理解段落大意的技能;培养学生理解细节的能力;能用一般过去时态按照时间顺序描述自己的经历。
(5)话题:谈论莎士比亚的生平;谈论自己过去的生活经历。
4.2 情感态度目标:通过对莎士比亚的了解,培养对文学家的崇拜之情以及对文学的兴趣。
4.3 学习策略目标:学会谈论个人信息的策略;阅读简单的传记文体的策略;与小组进行交流合作的策略。
4.4 文化意识目标:英国文豪莎士比亚是英国人的骄傲,也是英国文坛的象征之一。

5 教学过程
5.1 Step I Revision
(1)Revise the dates, the months of the year.
设计意图:检测学生对月份,日期英文表达的掌握程度,为本课做铺垫。
(2)Ask and answer some questions like in Activity 8 in Unit 1.
设计意图:检测学生对一般疑问句及其回答的运用。
5.2 Step II Lead-in: Activity 1
(1)Look at the picture.
Talk about it.设计意图:引起学生兴趣,有利于学习本篇课文。
(2)Books open.
Turn to Page 142.
Look at the introductions to William Shakespeare.设计意图:大致了解莎士比亚,把本课化难为易,使学生轻松学习本文。
5.3 Step III Read( Activity 1 )
(1)Learn the new vocabulary. William Shakespeare, Hamlet, Romeo and Juliet, Queen Elizabeth I, the Globe Theater, the River Thames, languages.设计意图:为学习课文扫清障碍。
(2)Books open. Read the passage silently and answer the questions, and then check together.设计意图:让学生带着问题阅读课文,培养他们的阅读技巧,从而了解莎士比亚的简要生平。
(3)Read the passage again and explain the important and difficult points. decide to do sth.at the age of marry one of… successful move to join.设计意图:帮助学生掌握文章的重难点词汇。
5.4 Step IV Practice
(1)Put the sentences in the correct order. Do it individually, then check with the whole class.设计意图:检测学生对文章细节的理解。
(2)Ask the students to change the verbs into the past tense first, next do it individually, then check in groups, finally check with the whole class.设计意图:帮助学生把文章条理化,这是阅读传记文体文章的一种非常好的训练方式。
(3)Talk about the life of Shakespeare according to Activity 3.设计意图:培养学生运用语言输出的能力,同时掌握莎士比亚的生平。
(4)Activity 4 Put the words and phrases in the correct order of time. Ask the students to do it in pairs and check with the whole class.设计意图:检测学生对文章细节的理解。

(2)Activity 7 Write sentences about events in their life. Do it individually, then check in pairs, finally ask some students to read and check.
