身体训练是运动训练的一个重要组成部分,是取得运动成绩的基础,其目的在于提高人的运动能力。即提高运动功能:包括健康的身体和良好的运动素质。发展运动素质的特点是具备“超杀”的能力:即发展的素质和能力要超过解决运动员运动任务所必须的水平。身体训练的任务是要提高掌握技术动作的效率。过去在身体训练中进行大量的一般身体训练,是对运动项目特点探索不够的结果。一个专项运动员各项素质要达到什么水平没有一个量的标准,因而身体训练有点盲目的性质。虽然通过调查也有些指标,但也未作最优化的检验。
