Objective To investigate the influence of implant pitch on the stress distribution in the bone interface and provide biomechanics basis for the design and clinical choice of implants. Methods Three-dimensional finite element analysis was used to analyze and discuss the stress distribution on the bone interface when the implants were 1.5mm and 1.0mm respectively under horizontal and vertical force. Results Under the condition of horizontal and vertical loading, the stress of the implant bone interface with the pitch of 1.0mm was less than the one with the pitch of 1.5mm, and the stress distribution tended to be uniform. Conclusions There is no obvious difference in the stress between 1.0mm and 1.5mm pitch thread at the bottom of screw thread. The bottom of the screw thread is flat implant. The stress at the pitch of 1.0mm is less than that of the pitch of 1.5mm, and the stress distribution is more uniform Clinical Design and Selection of Implant References.
