马寅初先生是我国的著名学者。他在百岁大寿时还精神矍铄,满面红光。马老生前曾说过:“对我身体益处最大的,就是洗热冷浴和爬山两项。”马老坚持热冷浴,四季不断,数十年如一日。马老的这一“长寿洗澡法”是1906年他进入美国耶鲁大学深造时,从一位90多岁高龄的美国医生那里学来的。热冷浴的方法很简单,即:每天就寝前用热水洗澡水的温度以身体能够忍受为限。洗好后就在热水中“睡”15分钟。出浴后会出一身大汗,过3-4分钟后,再进入冷水盆或用冷水淋浴。
