Patrick: Okay, I can’t walk all day like this, Joe.
Joe: Okay. We’re almost there. Just 50 yards.
Patrick: Almost where? What the hell could you be showing me in the woods right now? What is this, Joe?
Joe: You want your room facing sunrise or sunset?
  Patrick: My what?
Joe: This is the site[地点] of our new house, man.
Patrick: What, like a tree house?
Joe: No, like a real house. I’m moving out. W-We’re moving out.
Patrick: What the hell are you talking about? My mom won’t let me walk around the house without socks on. She’s definitely not gonna let us live out here in the woods.
Joe: No one will find us out here, Patrick. This house, this land, it’s ours! We make the rules, you know? Like men!
Patrick: So we’re just gonna move out here and, uh, build a
  house from scratch[从零开始,白手起家]?
Joe: How hard can it be?
Patrick: Hold on...what is this kid doing here?
Joe: I don’t know. I...I’m afraid to tell him to leave. I don’t know what he’s capable of[有…… Forget him. Break ground with me, man.
Patrick: Look, I’m sorry, Joe, but I can’t do this. Call me when you get home. (leaves)
  Joe: Patrick?
  Joe: Patrick. (wakes Patrick up)
Patrick: What the f...? Jesus. What time is it, man? Joe: Who cares? We’re out in the woods. There’s no time in the woods. Let’s go exploring.
  Patrick: What?
  Joe: What?
Mr. Keenan: Judy keeps saying that wherever they are, at least they have each other. (sighs) I guess that calms me down sometimes, you know?
Frank: I gotta wonder whose idea it all was.
Mr. Keenan: (laughing) Yeah. Wait, are you serious?
Frank: It could have been Patrick’s idea.
Mr. Keenan: No way. Oh, my gosh! Joe is the one who drove them to the movies when they were nine. Remember? Only reason they got caught is ’cause they went through a drive-through注1. (checks the fishhook) Sunfish[翻车鱼], Damn it. Joe is the one who tied Patrick’s pet turtle to a kite. Wanted to send him up into space.
Frank: (laughs) I forgot about that.
Mr. Keenan: Are you laughing? Are you laughing at that?
Frank: It was...it was more of a laugh of admiration[赞赏]. Mr. Keenan: For the murder[谋杀] of a turtle?
Joe: Vicki’s making eyes at you, man. Go talk to her. Look at her. She’s so into it.
Biaggio: There’s no point in me talking to her anyways.
  Joe: Why not?
  Biaggio: Joe...I’m gay.
  Joe: Are you sure? Um...
Biaggio: Yes. My lungs fill up with fluid[液体] every time the seasons change.
Joe: That...that’s not being gay, Biaggio.
  Biaggio: What?
  Joe: I’m pretty sure that’s cystic fibrosis注2.
  Biaggio: Oh.
Joe: Biaggio, I don’t know why you’re smiling...cystic fibrosis is not a walk in the park. It’s actually a very serious medical condition...
Frank: Joe? Joe: Dad? Frank: Joe! Joe: Dad!
  Frank: Are you all right?
Joe: Dad, don’t come in here!
Frank: Joe, Joe, I’m not gonna hurt you.
  Kelly: Joe, I’m so sorry.
Joe: Seriously, do not come in here. There’s a snake. Frank: Whoa.
(the snake approaches Kelly) Kelly: What do I do?
Joe: Kelly! Look at me. Be cool, all right? Be calm. Be still. Frank: Whoa!
  Joe: Do not move!
  Frank: Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
Joe: It can sense fear, all right? Don’t move. Kelly: No, no, no! Joe: Easy, easy.
Frank: Joe! Joe, don’t be an idiot!
Joe: (rushes to Kelly) Be calm. That’s good. Frank: What the hell is that?
