现在的《考试大纲》评分标准强调使用语法结构的数量和复杂性，鼓励考生尽量使用较高级的词汇和较复杂的语法结构，并且对由此产生的错误采取了宽容的态度。所以学生在写作时要讲究措辞，既要有普通词语，也要有高级词汇；既要使用简单句，也要学会并尽量使用复杂句式，如定语从句、主语从句、宾语从句、表语从句、状语从句以及同位语从句等；既会使用陈述句，也要会使用感叹句、祈使句、疑问句等；还要尽量多使用非谓语动词、虚拟语气、强调句型、被动语态以及with加复合宾语结构等。
1. As we all know/As is known to all， … 大家都知道；众所周知
As we all know， some students cheat in examinations. 众所周知，有些学生考试作弊。
比较：It is well known that some students cheat in examinations.（it做形式主语，代替后面的that 从句）
2. so/such…that... 如此……以致于……
The sound of the film was so loud that I could hardly bear it. 电影的声音如此大，以致于我几乎不能忍受。
此句也可以表达为：So loud was the sound of the film that I could hardly bear it.
3. in order to… 为了……；目的是……
In order to make our life colorful， we have decided to organize an activity—picking apples in the countryside. 为了让我们的生活丰富多彩，我们决定举行一次去农家摘苹果的活动。
When taking exams， they sometimes cheat in order to get better results to please their parents and teachers.为了取得好成绩让父母和老师高兴他们有时候考试作弊。
比较：In order that every student might understand it， the teacher explained that passage again and again. 为了使每个学生都能理解，老师一遍又一遍地讲解那一段。
4. not only…but （also）…不但……而且……
Life consists of not only sunshine but also hard times. 生活中不仅有阳光，也有许多艰难困苦的时候。
Not only does he teach school， but also he writes novels. 他不仅教书，而且写长篇小说。
5. As the saying/proverb goes， … 正如谚语所说；俗话说；常言道
As the saying goes， “Practice makes perfect.” 正如谚语所说，熟能生巧。
You have to look before you leap， just as the saying goes. 正如谚语所说，在跳跃之前你得先观察一下（前面的路）。
6. With the development of… 随着……的发展
With the development of economy， people’s living standards have greatly improved. And with the improvement of people’s living standards， cars have become a popular means of transport， bringing great convenience to our life. 随着经济的发展，人们的生活水平得到了很大的提高。而随着人们生活水平的提高，汽车成为一种受欢迎的交通方式，给我们的生活带来了很大的便利。
With the development of science and technology， computers and the Internet are playing an increasingly important part in our daily life. 随着科技的发展，电脑和网络在我们的日常生活中正起着越来越重要的作用。
7. As far as…be concerned 就……而言
As far as I am concerned， I am strongly against making friends on the Internet. 就我而言，我强烈反对网上交友。
8. with 复合宾语
He stood there， with his hands trembling. 他站在那里，双手颤抖着。
With his homework finished， he went fishing with his father. 作业做完以后，他和父亲去钓鱼了。
With so much work to do， I can’t go to the party tonight. 有这么多的工作要做，我不能去参加今晚的聚会了。
9. Last but not least， … 最后但并非最不重要的是；最后一项要点是
Last but not least， have enough sleep， which will help our eyes recover from tiredness. 最后一项要点是，保持足够的睡眠，这将有助于让我们的眼睛恢复疲劳。
10. What’s more/In addition/Besides， … 除此之外，另外，此外
What’s more， we will get along better with other people if we have a good mood. 此外，如果我们有个好心情，就能与其他人和睦相处。
In addition， I can develop my own interests， such as reading books， magazines and newspapers. 另外，我可以发展自己的兴趣，比如阅读书籍、杂志和报纸。
Besides， they may work out better ways to get work done by discussion. 除此之外，通过讨论他们能够想出更好的办法来完成工作。
The more we get together， the happier we will be. 我们相聚得越多，我们就越快乐。
The harder you work， the greater progress you’ll make. 你越努力，就会取得更大的进步。
