Maybe it was because he was born in the countryside and grew up in the countryside. Reading “July” by his classmate Tao Jinhua (see 1992-2 “Language Study”), he almost cried. Why? It’s too baffling. I just thought that the short “July” article put me in the countryside for many years and lurked in the bottom of my heart.
