自从1966年我从医学院毕业以来,“医学危机”之说不绝于耳,无异于传说中牧羊少年一而再、再而三地喊叫“狼来了”。但是迄今为止,喊叫危机的都是一些特殊的利益集团,而且对危机的看法往往截然相反:甲说医院病床太少,乙说医院病床太多;甲说医生不够,乙说医生太多,使人莫衷一是,无所适从。不过我现在认识到,“医学危机”一词具有一种普遍而真实的意义。遗憾的是,由于过去叫嚷“狼来了”的人太多了,宣传工具直到最近才开始注意到这一确实存在的危机。我们今天亲眼目睹的是,商业利益正在渐渐地、越来越快地侵蚀医学界。人们必须明白,现今公司财团关心的只是资产负债表上 Since I graduated from medical school in 1966, the “medical crisis” has never ceased to exist.
