首先充分论证海杂波的不规则动态特性。其根据是从一系列用不同的海杂波数据集完成的广泛且详细的试验中所获得的结果。这项研究的内容包括相关维数分析（以最大似然原理为基础）和Ｌｙａｐｕｎｏｖ频谱分析。Ｌｙａｐｕｎｏｖ（ＫａｐｌａｎＹｒｋｅ）维数是Ｌｙａｐｕｎｏｖ频谱分析的副产品，业已发现它是相关（分数）维数很好的估值器。
First fully demonstrate the irregular dynamic characteristics of sea clutter. It is based on the results obtained from a series of extensive and detailed experiments done with different sea clutter data sets. The study includes correlation dimension analysis (based on the maximum likelihood principle) and Lyapunov spectral analysis. The Lyapunov (Kaplan-Yrke) dimension is a by-product of Lyapunov spectrum analysis and has been found to be a good estimator of the correlation (fractional) dimension.
