一、问题的提出湖南卫视播出的《超级女声》节目是2005年夏天一个引人瞩目的流行文化现象。说其是一种文化现象,是因为这个节目不仅参与者多、观众多而且又一次地引发了国内舆论对于“流行文化”的争论和探讨。在这些争论中,我们可以看到两种几乎是截然相对的观点:一种视《超级女声》为“害群之马”,要求“降低这些节目的播出量,并在黄金时间增加新闻、社教类节目的播出量才能解决节目的低俗化问题。”另一种则视《超级女声》为中国公民民主实践的试验田,认为年轻人大量参与《超级女声》的短信投票,“将培养他们的民主意识和行为习惯”。这两类观点虽然在评价上可谓有天壤之别,但是有趣的是,无论是以传统美学范式为标准指责《超级女声》的“媚俗”和“品味低下”,还是在“民主政治”的
