为描述所在学院的英语课程水平等级,作者试图运用词汇量这个量化指标进行英语课程与主要国内外语言考试水平之间的对应研究。之所以选择词汇量作为指标,是因为研究表明它是衡量语言课程或者测试题水平的重要量化参数。根据其英语课程与国际国内主要考试的对应水平,作者提出了相关水平对应假设。使用的研究工具是 Paul Nation 原装词汇软件以及结合本研究实际改装的软件。词汇量对比结果初步验证了先前的假设。
To describe the college’s level of English language curriculum, the author attempts to use the vocabulary as a quantitative indicator to conduct correspondence between the English language curriculum and the level of major domestic and foreign language examinations. The reason why vocabulary is chosen as an indicator is because the research shows that it is an important quantitative parameter for measuring the level of language courses or test questions. According to the corresponding level of their English courses and major international and domestic examinations, the author proposed relevant level hypotheses. The research tools used were Paul Nation’s original vocabulary software and the actual modified software combined with this study. The vocabulary comparison results preliminarily verified the previous hypothesis.
