“Nanhai No. 1 ” is an early Southern Song Dynasty wooden shipwreck discovered in August 1987 in Yangjiang, Guangdong Province. It is the oldest and most complete preserved marine trading ship ever discovered in the world. “South China Sea No. 1,” the wreck found on iron artifacts for the wok and nails, a large number of distribution throughout the cabin. In this paper, metallographic microscope, scanning electron microscopy and energy dispersive spectroscopy, Raman spectroscopy and other methods, “South China Sea Ⅰ” sinking iron body and its inclusions were analyzed. The results showed that the wok is hypereutectic white iron and hypoeutectic white iron, iron nail hypoeutectoid steel.
