食管癌放射治疗的疗效提高在很大程度上是由于治疗方法的改进和发展,特别是将必须的放射能量导向病灶,而同时尽量使其周围的正常组织少受损伤。我们知道人体正常食管不是一条直线而有许多弯曲,从侧面观食管颈段与上段靠近前胸壁,向下渐居前胸与后背之中,正面观食管至气管分叉处略离脊柱髓主动脉绕行,渐至贲门渐向左偏曲,因此仅定食管病灶的某一点至前胸,后背皮肤距离再计算角度,对上段,上中段以及中下段的食管癌侧射
