20世纪初期到四十年代中期研究“四王”的文章已经较多地出现在当时的报刊中,以美术史家的身份并署名来系统研究“四王”文章的人当属日本学者泷精一,而此间国外研究“四王”的文章也多以日本学者居多,比如藤悬静也的《王晕笔山口捕鱼图解》和《王原祁笔南山积翠图解》以及山田槟榔的《王石谷》等。上世纪四十年代以后,国内的“四王”研究的专业文章也逐渐多起来,主要由于国内具有艺术史学研究背景的专业人才大量出现作为标志。纵观二十世纪“四王”画派的研究,伴随着科学文明的不断进步,每个时期的研究也各有特点,研究成果和研究成绩也出现了日新月异的变化。
From the early 20th century to the mid-1940s, the articles on the “Four Kings” have appeared in the newspapers and magazines at that time. Throughout the twentieth century “Four Kings ” School of painting, along with the continuous progress of science and civilization, each period of research also has its own characteristics, research results and research achievements have seen rapid changes.
