蚊子是一种吸血的小昆虫,它有一个長嘴,可以刺吸血液,有一对大眼、一对翅膀和三对腿。当它站立的时候用前兩对腿着地,后一对腿翹在空中。蚊虫种类很多,但是也有些小虫子像蚊子而不是蚊子,例如搖蚊,就是常見的一种假蚊子。当春天的时候,到处都可以看見它們在滿天飛。这种蚊子是不吸血的,因为它的嘴非常短,同时它在站立的时候,是用中对和后对腿着地,而前对腿翹在空中,左右搖摆。因为这个緣故,所以把它叫假搖蚊。
