Founded on the core principles of esprit terroir (spirit of earth), MOTIF RESTAURANT & BAR offers a true culinary journey. There is a strong emphasis on classic cooking techniques combined with seasonal fresh produce and ingredients – many of which are only found in Chef Nakamichi's hometown of Hokkaido.
The bar's signature cocktail is Sekki cocktail. Sekki is a traditional way of expressing seasons in Japan and is defined by the ecliptic longitude of the Sun. While Japanese enjoy celebrating many seasonal events based on the traditional calendar, the lunisolar calendar which defines 24 solar terms (shorter seasons) helps farmers andothers keep in tune with nature for work and pleasure.
