“塘趣”无声胜有声

  Every jade carving masterpiece has its unique characters. It is created by either outstanding skills or features exquisite and joyful designs. So does the masterpiece of “Joy of Pond” in Hetian jade. Its brown sugar color is dyed by nature arbitrarily, but it is becomes mottle painted forcedly for an art designer. If designed perfectly, they are cosmetics as lipsticks and kermes to make up the ladies charming. Otherwise, it would be like a woman applying kermes on the neck and lipstick on the nose. Even if a bigger or askew mouth resulted from the hand trembling, she won’t dare walk outside.
  
  但凡玉雕精品,必有超常之处,或绝技过人,或意趣奇巧。和田糖色白玉雕刻“塘趣”就是这样一个用了精妙技艺达成奇巧意趣的精品。白玉中的糖色是老天不由分说地抹上的,对于设计师来说这强抹上的是杂色,用得巧就象女人化妆用的唇膏和胭脂,可令其更觉妩媚动人,只是这玉上的糖色是老天抹的,太不由人,弄不好就象女人把胭脂抹在脖颈上,唇膏擦到鼻梁上,哪怕涂唇膏的手不稳,把张小巧的嘴涂大了、抹歪了一点点也是让人出不了门的。
  
  
  
  
  
  “塘趣”妙,妙在浑浑然的整体造型中却热闹得有声有色。虽然作品中有白鹭有螃蟹有灵龟有金蟾,且有不动声色的蚌与螺,这些鲜活生灵却是有静静稳稳的“鱼蒌”和摇摇曳曳的“水草”呼应着来协调的。有了“编”得精巧的鱼蒌才见得白鹭的悠然、螃蟹的奔突与小龟的嬉戏甚至螺与蚌悄悄然的张合,而诸多小生灵只因为有摇曳水草在鱼篓边的攀附顾盼,才能如同各种天籁妙音有了旋律而成了曲子。布局章法有了,这糖色的安排才顺理成章,淡淡的归了水草,深色雕了小龟,那鲜艳些的糖色雕成了自以为是的螃蟹而且抛光得格外亮,活生生地湿得就象刚从水里奔出。螃蟹的边上原来还有一出较暗的糖色,被设计师用传统的链条技艺雕下了牵住并放到一边。这“塘趣”分明是有声的:禽在喉底的“咕咕”,蟹沫嚣张的“扑扑”,小龟爬出的“沙沙”,还有清清的水在鱼篓上轻轻地拍。这一切声响只因为一个角色的不在场,那鱼篓的主人,就这么走开了一小会,塘边便有了这自然的妙趣。呵,人啊,你究竟是在好呢还是不在更好?
