斯图尔特·史蒂文森公司生产的系列中型战术车辆,在1996年1月初次问世时出现了性能不稳定的问题,曾一度面临被取消的危险。为了解决使用可靠性问题,原型车中大约有7500辆改装了传动装置,成为美国陆军最可靠的后勤车辆,可安全行驶6.08亿千米。该系列车辆经过十几年的发展,现已成为美国陆军战场上使用的最可靠的后勤平台。
A series of medium-sized tactical vehicles manufactured by Stuart Stevenson faced instability problems when it first came out in January 1996 and was once at risk of being canceled. In order to solve the reliability problem, about 7,500 of the original prototypes were retrofitted with gearing, making the United States Army the most reliable back-up vehicle with a total capacity of 608 million kilometers. After more than a decade of development, this series of vehicles has now become the most reliable logistics platform for use on the US Army battlefield.
