新中国成立60年来,铁路投资呈现出周期性的特点,成为经济增长波动的一个反映指标,从计划经济向社会主义市场经济转型的过程中这个特点表现尤其明显,随着改革开放走向深入以及融入世界经济步伐的加速,铁路屡屡出现的“瓶颈效应”在某种程度上限制了经济的发展。通过对我国铁路投资的周期性特点进行分析、考察铁路产业对经济增长的影响,可以发现新中国铁路投资与国民经济的关联性呈逐步加强趋势,我国铁路投资的取向正在由限制向适应、超前这样的发展路径转换。
