公示语在外来游客日益增多的今天发挥着越来越重要的作用,甚至被视为城市的名片,代表着一个国家或地区的文明程度,所以公示语翻译中的失误不容小觑。笔者以公共场合的公示语作为语料,借助于系统功能语言学(SFL)中的语域理论,分别从语场、语式和语旨三个方面探讨了公示语翻译中的各种错误,并提出了相应的解决方案,通过此项研究,笔者认为将功能语言学,特别是语域分析应用于翻译研究及翻译实践是切实可行的。
Public signs are playing an increasingly important role in the increasing number of foreign tourists today. They are even considered as the city’s business cards and represent the civilization of a country or region. Therefore, errors in the translation of public signs cannot be underestimated. The author uses public expressions as a corpus and uses the register theory in system function linguistics (SFL) to discuss various errors in the translation of public signs from the perspectives of language field, language, and meaning. A corresponding solution was proposed. Through this study, the author believes that it is feasible to apply functional linguistics, especially register analysis, to translation studies and translation practice.
