锦西县钢屯乡林业专业队,自1979年以来,把刺槐和紫穗槐造林改在秋季进行,5个秋季共栽植刺槐、紫穗槐17,838亩,成活率均在85％以上。其中1982年和1983年秋栽植6.505亩,成活率高达95％以上。 1.整地:为了改善造林地条件,增加土壤水分,秋季造林的地块,须在雨季前进行整地。按长、宽各40厘米、深35厘米的规格挖栽植坑,先铲掉草皮、草根,然后刨坑,坑壁要垂直,防止锅底坑,以利蓄水和幼苗扎根。 2.选用壮苗:苗木的根系、地径和苗高是苗木质量好坏的重要标志,用于造林的刺槐苗木的地径都不小于0.8厘米,紫穗槐苗木的地径不小于0.5厘米。根系要完整、无病虫为害、无机械损伤,主根长不小于20厘米。最好用根茬苗造林,起苗前进行割条,留苗茬高10厘米左右。起苗时要随起随运,栽植前在造林地就近临时假植。 3.深栽踩实:苗木落叶至结冻前进行造林。为防止苗木根系风干失水,栽植时用水桶盛苗,保持苗木湿润。对苗根的劈裂损伤部分要进行修剪,以防霉烂。栽植时在整地穴内刨栽植坑,深度25厘米,把苗木置于坑的中间,扶正,使根系舒展,分层回土、踩实,填土高出苗木原土痕5厘米左右。栽苗时要防止窝根、露根。
