Toshiba Japan performed the DARM-2 table tennis robot they developed, causing a sensation. The study of such robots is not intended to be on the market, but rather as a basis for many other specialized studies. This is a pilot robot that can be used to study technologies such as drives, processors and vision systems. Above the robot is a tosser that throws the ball to the wall and then bounces it back to the podium in front of the robot. The robot uses the sensor to obtain the coordinates of the bouncing ball. The vision system determines the position of the ball on the wall from the ball thrower to the table and automatically calculates the final position of the ball. The calculation also takes ball elasticity into account
