   Walking yesterday in an outlying neighborhood, I went by the house
  I used to go to when I was very young. There 1)Eros with his magnificent power Had taken hold of my body.

  C.P.Cavafy(卡瓦菲斯,1863—1933),希腊最重要的现代诗人,也是二十世纪最伟大的诗人之一;出生于埃及的亚历山大市,少年时代曾在英国生活七年。后期除旅行和治病外,他都定居在亚历山大。奥登、蒙塔莱、米沃什和布罗茨基等众多现代诗人,都对他推崇备至。埃利蒂斯在其诺贝尔文学奖演说时曾讲过这样一句话:“另一个极点是卡瓦菲斯,他与艾略特并驾齐驱,从诗歌中消除所有华而不实的东西,达到结构简练和词语精确的完善境界。”由此便可看出,卡瓦菲斯的诗风简洁并富有教谕性,用简单的表象描述,便可带给人一场心智和灵魂上的洗礼,着实不凡。
  我们读到过的情诗绝不在少数,而能够读一句便知出自谁的手笔的,卡瓦菲斯,算是其中一个大咖了。卡瓦菲斯一生留下了太多宝贵的诗篇,他总是用一句句轻描淡写的话重重地砸在我们的脑袋上,用隔世的言语提醒着我们要用心体会生活。他的《城市》、《阿萨卡》和《在一样的空间里》等等作品都以对生活最平实场景的描述贯穿全篇,带给读者一场场非凡的体验。
  《屋外》是一首情诗,虽是情诗,但通篇对生活场景的描述却占到了一半以上。即便是如此,它带来的震撼还是丝毫没有减弱。作者重游故地,想起年轻时的恋情。他告诉我们,时光荏苒,所有的过往遗憾都将不会再次在心底泛起涟漪,它们已经化为情感潜藏心底。总有一天我们都会长大,我们都会变老,我们也都会在人生的旅途中错爱几个人,也都会在走过的地方用喜乐哀愁来创造我们心中曾经最思慕的那个人。所有的一切,对于我们来说,它们都会因爱而变得美丽。
