Stroke is a major health problem throughout the world. The elevated blood pressure (BP) after stroke is a common complication associated with poor outcome and is less understood.Since the crucial role of angiotensin Ⅱ (Ang Ⅱ) and rostral ventrolateral medulla (RVLM) in central regulation of BP is well-known, the present study delineated the role of Ang Ⅱ type Ⅰ receptor (AT1R) at RVLM in the elevation of BP after transient stroke.
