Synthetic polypeptides inherit many intriguing properties of proteins such as excellent biocompatibility, biodegradability, and unique hierarchical assembly property, and thus have been extensively developed for drug delivery and tissue engineering [1-2].In this study, novel chimaeric polymersomes with average hydrodynamic diameters of 54.4-71.6 nm were developed from poly(ethylene glycol)-b-poly(L-leucine)-b-poly(L-glutamic acid) (PEG-PLeu-PLG) triblock copolymers for efficient loading and intracellular release of doxorubicin hydrochloride (DOX·HCl).
