目前全国约有工业锅炉24万台,铁路系统也有一万多台,铁路锅炉年用煤约300万吨。从工业锅炉的现状看,存在着类型杂、有相当数量的锅炉设备陈旧、低空排放的二氧化硫和粉尘的浓度大、热效率低等问题。国家很重视工业锅炉的改造、挖潜和节能工作。铁路也提出从1980年开始,十年内把铁路所有工业锅炉全部改完的计划。锅炉改造工作一般都是在原有设备基础上进行的,这样就有一个如何使更新改造的锅炉与原来的通风系统、烟道、烟囱合理配套的问题。具体说,就是如何使锅炉、通风与燃料燃烧相互匹配的问题。只有把这方面的工作做好了,才能防止“锅炉年年改,永远改不完,既浪费资金,又多耗燃料”的问
At present, there are about 240,000 industrial boilers nationwide, more than 10,000 railway systems and about 3 million tons of coal for railway boilers. From the current situation of industrial boilers, there are types of miscellaneous, a considerable number of old boiler equipment, low-level emissions of sulfur dioxide and dust concentration, low thermal efficiency and other issues. The state attaches great importance to the transformation of industrial boilers, tapping potential and energy-saving work.
