Although the time spent abroad as a resident reporter is not too short, I encountered a young colleague asking me what is the most important qualities of a foreign correspondent. Often, I can not answer it. Good communication, quick thinking, sharp judgment, language refinement, etc. undoubtedly belong to the journalists should have the quality of the list, but think carefully, I am afraid that the most basic is a “ground”, this is a reporter, especially a resident Foreign reporters the basis of success. I often call this quality “bee spirit.” Journalists should be like bees, collecting pollen in the flowers, brewing the latest and sweetest honey, rather than like a butterfly, flying around all day, showing off her beautiful clothes, but doing nothing.
