Heavy oil drainage and sand production is a new heavy oil recovery technology developed from Canada in the late 1980s and early 1990s. The technology is an oil field, suitable for unconsolidated sandstone heavy oil reservoirs, with the characteristics of high daily oil production and low mining cost. The main mining mechanism is: by inducing a large number of sands out of the reservoir to form a high permeability “earthworm hole” network, daily oil production is several times to conventional buck mining several times, at a well spacing of about 200m The rate is generally up to 10% ~ 20%, close to the 100m well under the steam huff and puff recovery rate.
