陆地卫星资料被用于研究帛琉岛以了解浅海填图的效果。该区已有好的水文图和航海图,可为校准和控制精确度提供资料。陆地卫星资料的7波段,用于区别每个象素的海陆间的界线,然后对识别属于水体的象素,进一步确定水深。通过采用一套假设值计算相对深度以及把结果与海图作比较,确定了光线及被海底反射后的衰减常数,此常数经调整后用于岛链填图。陆地卫星图象编号2913-00162-P114-R-054和2913-00164-P114-R-055被用于这次研究。这些图象是采用高增益方法(3x)获得的。
Terrestrial satellite data were used to study Palau so as to understand the effects of shallow sea mapping. The area already has good hydrographs and charts to provide information on calibration and control accuracy. The 7 band of terrestrial satellite data is used to distinguish the boundary between the sea and the land of each pixel, and the water depth is further determined by identifying the pixels belonging to the body of water. By using a set of hypotheses to calculate the relative depth and comparing the result with the chart, the decay constants of the light and of the seafloor reflection are determined and used to map the island chain after adjustment. Terrestrial satellite imagery numbers 2913-00162-P114-R-054 and 2913-00164-P114-R-055 were used for this study. These images were obtained using the high-gain method (3x).
