Objective: To observe the gene expression of bone morphogenetic protein (BMP) during fracture healing and the mode of action. Methods: Rabbit mandibular fracture healing model was established. The expression of BMP2 mRNA and BMP2 mRNA were detected by immunohistochemistry and in situ hybridization at different times of fracture healing. RESULTS: BMP released from the traumatic bone matrix early in the fracture healing plays an important role in the osteoinduction in the periosteum and the bone marrow of the broken ends; in addition, the cells that are stimulated to induce differentiation into osteogenic and chondrogenic Of cells, but also has the ability to synthesize and secrete BMP, this ability to ensure the formation of normal bone tissue. CONCLUSION: The results of this experiment further confirmed that bone morphogenetic protein (BMP) induces the whole process of fracture healing. BMP plays an important role in fracture healing
