早在1888年澳大利亚的植物学家莱尼茨尔最先发现了液品,是他首次提出了关于安息香酸胆甾醇的报告。其后不久列曼也观察到了液晶态。近100年来无数的科学家都致力于对液晶的研究,直到本世纪60年代液晶才开始在显示装置和无损探伤方面获得应用。这样就更加激发了液晶应用技术的研究工作,从而不断涌现出许多新的液晶物质,可以说,到目前为止液晶的种类已达数千种之多。
As early as 1888, Australian botanist Lehnertl first discovered the liquid, which is the first report he made about benzoylcholic acid cholesterol. Shortly afterwards, Lieman also observed the liquid crystal state. Numerous scientists in the past 100 years are devoted to the study of liquid crystal until 60s of this century, the liquid crystal began to be used in display devices and non-destructive testing. In this way, more research work on liquid crystal application technology has been stimulated, and many new liquid crystal materials have been continuously emerged. It can be said that the number of liquid crystals has so far reached thousands.
