The Neglected Side in Vocabulary Teaching One of the major aspects of the development of ELT in the past decade has been the renewed interest in vocabulary teaching. This general shift from grammar to vocabulary in the 1960s and 1980s, in which grammar and grammar teaching were dominant, is undoubtedly a step in the right direction.
